Nalgonda reported 43.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday
HYDERABAD, APRIL 04, 2024: The summer season is going to be sizzling with the temperature soaring by over 3 to 5 degree Celsius in various parts of the Telangana state as per the report of the Indian Meteorological department (IMD) forecast on Thursday.
The temperature was over 41 degrees Celsius in several parts of the state and the highest maximum temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius was reported in Nalgonda, followed by 43.4 in Jogulamba-Gadwal district, Wanaparthy recorded 43.3, Nizamabad 43.1, Kumuram Bheem 42.5, Sangareddy and Badradri 42.1, Adilabad 42 degrees Celsius, Hyderabad 41.3 and Karimnagar 41 degrees Cel sius.
Average maximum normal temperature on this day was 38.9 degrees Celsius, but it reached average maximum temperature of 43.5 degree Celsius. Last year on this day, the highest temperature was 41.8 in Adilabad and other parts of the state were between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The IMD officials stated that the temperature was likely to increase further in the days to come and alerted the people to be cautious and take all necessary while getting out of the houses on various works. They also said that the thunderstorms would also occur following the severe heat wave conditions in the state.
