KARIMNAGAR, JULY 26, 2024: Bhagavathi High School in Karimnagar town celebrated the Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate India’s War victory and to pay tributes to Kargil martyrs with patriotic fervour on Friday.
School Chairman B Ramana Rao, correspondent B Vijayalakshmi, vice principal Monika Roy and teachers and students paid floral and cable-light tributes to the martyrs of Kargil war, who laid their lives for the country. The students remembered the exemplary courage of the brave soldiers and honoured the heroes with a heartfelt speech. They sang patriotic songs and presented cultural programmes highlighting the importance of soldiers and filled the entire atmosphere with patriotic fervour.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ramana Rao said: “it’s our prime duty to observe the Kargil Vijay Diwas and motivate one and all to serve the nation.” He reminded that India had defeated Pakistan in the war on July 26, 1999, in one of the toughest terrains in the world.
