KARIMNAGAR, JULY 26, 2024: National Cadet Corps of Vivekananda Degree and PG College in Karimnagar celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with patriotism, pride and reverence on Friday.
The day marks the victory of the Indian armed forces in the 1999 Kargil War. The NCC cadets designed posters and paintings on the Kargil to show their patriotism and homage to the war heroes.
Speaking on the occasion, College Principal Ch Srinivas said: “it’s our prime duty to observe the Kargil Vijay Diwas and motivate one and all to serve the nation.” He reminded that India had defeated Pakistan in the war on July 26, 1999, in one of the toughest terrains in the world.
NCC 9 Telangana Battalion Havaldar Amul Shinde explained how the Indian soldiers fought against the Pakistan and defeated the enemies in spite of facing several hardships. He called upon the students to join the Armed forces and serve the Motherland. NCC Captain K Kiran Jyothi, ACOB Sampath Kumar, NSS officers R Gopikrishna, Md Ali Khan, AOB Sravan Kumar, NCC cadets and other students were also present.
