WARANGAL, JUNE 03, 2024: Department of Geology of Kakatiya University and Bourntec Solutions Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Telangana State Secretariat on Monday.
The MoU was signed by Registrar of the University Prof. Perati Malla Reddy and the Company’s CGO G Yugender Reddy in the presence of Incharge Vice Chancellor Vakati Karuna.
Speaking on the occasion, Head of the Department of Geology Prof R Mallikarjuna Reddy said that the MoU would be a component of the university-industry cooperation programme and added that the MoU would facilitate Bourntec Solutions Pvt Ltd to collaborate with the University to provide teaching staff and students with training in cutting-edge GIS technology.
Stating that the company will provide students with training in GIS and related fields and open doors to long-term job opportunities, Prof Mallikarjuna Reddy said, “During training, Bourntec will provide expertise to the University to educate theory and practicals in GIS and related fields.
The training and internship programme will begin with the start of the MSc Geology 3rd semester and will continue until the end of the fourth semester. Bourntec will select the required number of students for the internship programme following the training. During the internship, students will be paid a stipend of Rs. 7000 for the first twelve months.” President of Bourntec Solutions Pvt Ltd Srujana Guduru and GIS experts V. Venugopal and T. Balakoteshwar Babu were also present during the programme.
