PEDDAPALLI, APRIL 23, 2024: In a shocking incident, a bridge under-construction across the Manair River collapsed at Odedu village in Mahamutharam mandal following the gales on Monday night.
The bride construction was taken up across the river to reduce the distance between Odedu to Gurmillapalli village of Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district. Foundation stone for this bridge was laid in the year 2016.
Surprisingly, the bridge girder collapsed from the under construction bridge due to winds and gales which shows the quality of works. It is reported that the girder was supported with huge wooden support. Following the delay in the execution of work, the wood was infected with termite and caved in following the gales.
