TPCC serves show-cause notice to Karimnagar assembly segment contestant

Party alleges that Purumalla Srinivas colluded with BRS and BJP and resorted to anti-party activities

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 08, 2024: Disciplinary Action Committee of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has served a show-cause to Congress party contestant from Karimnagar Assembly segment Purumalla Srinivas for his anti-party activities and supporting the BRS and BJP contestants in the recent Assembly elections.

The TPCC DAC chairman and former Minister G Chinna Reddy issued the show cause notice to Srinivas instructing him to respond within three days on Wednesday. Failing which, the disciplinary action would be initiated against Srinivas for his anti-party activities.

The DAC chairman stated that Purumalla Srinivas had not taken active part in the election campaign and indirectly supported the BRS and BJP contestants. He also stated that Mr Srinivas had also not informed about his campaign schedule to the local rank and file and neglected them by taking up low-key campaign. It also stated that the Congress candidate had neglected the instruction of AICC coordinators and observers.

Mr Srinivas, who is incharge of Karimnagar assembly segment of the Congress party, had not spent the party fund during the elections. The party said that the Congress had lost from Karimnagar assembly segment because of inefficient, incapable and negligent tendencies of Srinivas and his collusion with BRS and BJP.
