KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 20, 2024: Owing to depletion of water table at the Lower Manair Dam reservoir, the main source of water for the people of Karimnagar town, the Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar has stated that they would be fixing booster pumps and internal connections to draw water from the reservoir to the filter-bed on the shores of the reservoir.
Hence, there would be no water supply in entire Karimnagar town on March 23 (Saturday). The residents of the town were informed to use the water judiciously following the non-supply of drinking water on Sunday, according to an official release here on Wednesday.
It may be recalled that the MCK which had supplied daily water in the town had stopped the scheme following the depleting water table in the LMD reservoir and providing water supply on every alternate day due to shortage of water in the reservoir and conserve it for the summer demand.
