National Science Day celebrated at Bhagavathi and Arvintree High Schools

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 28, 2024: In order to inculcate scientific temperament among students, National Science Day was celebrated at Bhagavathi high school, Bhagathnagar and Arvintree High School, Vasudeva colony, in various parts of Karimnagar town on Wednesday.

On this occasion, School chairman B Ramana Rao and correspondent B Vijaya Lakshmi paid tributes to Sir CV Raman, who had discovered ‘Raman effect’ this day in 1928. For his discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. This year’s science day theme is ‘Indigenous technologies for Vikasit Bharath’.

The students of Bhagavathi high school presented various experiments through role play activities in front of the gathering. They explained about Geo thermal power plant, automatic dustbin, agricultural appliances, solar power panels and others experiments. From third class to ninth, the students donned the role of various scientists and participated in a seminar.

At Arvintree high school, the students presented an exhibition titled Experia-4 and participated in various activities like lifting of tray with the concept of air pressure, condition of electricity in solids and liquids, high speed winds reduce air pressure etc. They also explained about the innovations made by various scientists.

The chairman motivated students to choose science as a career and use it as a tool to remove superstitions and misconceptions prevailing in the society. He also applauded and congratulated the students for presenting an informative show. Science teachers K Sirisha and Sujatha explained the importance of Raman effect to the students.
