KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 16, 2024: Sri Lakshmi Maheshwara charitable trust and Rajani Fertility centre, Karimnagar has announced free IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) treatment for 10 barren couples at Renee hospitals in Karimnagar town.
As announced earlier, the Charitable trust and Rajani fertility centre selected the beneficiaries through a draw of lot. At a programme organised on Saturday, Youtube celebrity and ‘My Village Show’ fame Gangavva selected the 10 beneficiaries through draw of lots in the presence of Renee hospital chairman Dr Bangari Swamy, and IVF specialist Dr Bangari Rajani Priyadarshini.
On this occasion, Dr Swamy said that they had taken up the charity programme in memory of his mother Bangari Lakshmi and providing IVF treatment free of cost to the couples selected through draw of lots.
IVF specialist Dr Bangari Rajani said that ‘it is alarming to know that many couples, who opt for IVF are not aware of the male and female factors that play a role in the inability to conceive naturally. “However, a greater challenge to solve is the commonly believed myth that the female partner is responsible for infertility,”.
Infertility is still believed to be a gender-specific issue.” “We have observed in many cases that the male partner shies away from speaking or getting tested for infertility. A clear indicator, that the male partner is not seen as a cause for infertility. Both the male and female factor accounts for 40-50 per cent of infertility among couples, respectively,” added Dr Rajani.
Gangavva advised the couples not to approach quacks or believe sorcery. She informed them to approach the doctors at right time for treatment to conceive and give birth to children. Medical superintendent Dr Ravindra Chary, general manager Aravind Rao and others were also present.
