KARIMNAGAR, MAY 01, 2024: The valedictory function of 13th batch of Beautician certificate course was organised by the SRR Government Arts and Science College (autonomous) in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
The course was started in 2015 and helped several students turn into entrepreneurs by setting up beauty parlours in various parts of the district. An average Indian is no longer averse to spending moolah in order to look good and exposure to the latest trends and products has made even a small town customer more discerning and aware. This customer awareness has led to a demand for professionally qualified personnel in this industry. This is evident from the rapid strides taken by this industry as far as growth is concerned.
A regular three or four-year degree and college system holds no attraction for them. The beauty industry is one such option that such students can check out. A course in this field can fast track your career as it is job- oriented and the demand for professionals in this field is increasing by the day.
Presiding over the function, College Principal K Ramakrishna spoke on the benefits of this course and how it had been providing employment to many students since 2015 till today, by establishing their own beauty parlours and become successful from this college.
A.Jayanthi, Principal, University College of Science, Satavahana University, Karimnagar has graced the occasion as Chief Guest, said that whatever the participants have learned during the course to utilize to become successful entrepreneurs. And she distributed the certificates to the candidates.
J.Umamaheswari, Coordinator of Women Empowerment Cell , appreciated the efforts of the team of basic beautician course. M.Shobharani, Coordinator of this course presented the report and explained how the earlier batch participants were benefitted by securing placements in Gurukula colleges of the state government. R.Leena, resource person of this course explained the need of interpersonal relationships to be a successful beautician in present scenario. Kamaraj, Administrative Officer of the College, Pramila, V.Soniyareddy, Jubilee Replica have also attended the programme.
