NTPC Telangana Unit-2 successfully completes Trial Operations

PEDDAPALLI, FEBRUARY 11, 2024: NTPC Telangana Project unit-2 of 800 MWs successfully completed its 72 hours of full load Trial Operation on Sunday at 09:00Hrs.

Mr Kedar Ranjan Pandu, ED(R&T) extended heartiest congratulations to the whole team, in the presence of Mr G.B.Suresh, GM(P), Mr Sanjib Saha,GM(O&M)/T, Mr Santosh Tiwari, GM(C&T), Mr Mohan Reddy, GM(TS), Mr Alok Kumar Tripathi, GM(O&M)/R,  Mr Rabindra Patel, GM(Mtnc)/R,  Mr K C Singha Roy,GM(O)/R, Mr Anil Kumar Vemula, GM(RE), HOHR and other senior officers and agency representatives on achievement of this major milestone. He visited all the control rooms including CHP, AHP and WTP control room and appreciated the untiring efforts of the team members.

It may be recalled that a week ago, the unit-2 had successfully attained its full load capacity.  The NTPC Telangana unit-1 of 800 MW was commissioned in May 2023. As part of AP States Reorganisation Act, 2014, the Union government had proposed to set up 4,000 MWs of power plant in NTPC Ramagundam ad allocate 85 per cent of power generated from the power plant to Telangana state.
