KARIMNAGAR, MAY 11, 2024: The Congress party had concluded its high-decibel campaigning in the Karimnagar parliament constituency by taking out a massive rally and organising a road show in Karimnagar town on Saturday giving a much needed fillip to the party rank and file.
Amid drum beats and cultural troupes, and well-attended the party workers carrying the party flags, the rally was organised in Karimnagar town from Indira chowk and passed through important streets of the town. The party workers raised the slogans hailing the Congress party. The town reverberated with the slogans of Congress party. Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar, party contestant Velichala Rajender Rao, former legislators Arepalli Mohan and K Satyanarayana Goud and other important leaders participated in the rally.
On this occasion, Mr Ponnam Prabhakar appealed to the people to elect the Congress party which had carved out separate Telangana state. Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar of running autocratic during the last 10 years, he called upon the people to elect the educated Velichala Rajender Rao for the complete development of the Karimnagar parliament constituency.
Alleging that the BRS and BJP are hand-in glove, he charged that both the parties have destroyed Karimnagar town in the name of Smart City. He alleged that the sitting MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar had not anything for the constituency in turn he had amassed huge wealth. Similarly, the BRS contestant B Vinod Kumar had neglected the constituency.
