Valmiki and Nandini Schools in Karimnagar launch Satellite digital classrooms, which is first of its kind in Telangana state

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 20, 2024: Valmiki and Nandini Schools in Karimnagar town emerged as the first school in the Telugu speaking states to launch the satellite digital classrooms in collaboration with Digital Student Classroom and linked with VSAT satellite system on Saturday.

The Satellite Digital classes were formally launched by TRSMA honourary president and the schools chairman Y Shekhar Rao along with TRSMA general secretary and Bhagavathi schools chairman B Ramana Rao and Digital Student Classroom founder Somashekhar.

Using V-SAT (very small aperture terminal) satellite communication system, the studio has been connected to smart classrooms in schools in the district. Trained teachers impart lessons and learning materials to hundreds of students at one time using the facility.

It is a boon to the students with trained and experienced teachers explain the subject lessons in good details. Their illustrations with diagrams, images and videos make learning interesting. Moreover, the students can directly ask questions through interactive session and get answers.

Mr Shekhar Rao said that ‘In virtual classes, lessons on subjects like science, maths and social sciences and languages are explained through PPT (power point) presentations. This makes learning friendly.” He said that they would be conducting the virtual classes from first to tenth standards

The district administration has formed a panel of trained teachers handpicked from various blocks for the purpose. These teachers go live from the virtual studio at the district headquarters. Students in different schools attend the virtual classroom to take lessons on subjects like Mathematics, Science, English, Odia, History and geography.

The virtual classes would be held as per the schedule covering the state syllabus and also help the students learn any other foreign language such as French, Italian etc. The school has been equipped with digital boards and TV screens with web cameras for live interactions with experts.
