Students participate in Forest Trek Park at Chilkur Reserve Forest  block

HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 05, 2024: Telangana State Forest Development Corporation organized a nature camp to all the enthusiasts and nature lovers at Forest trek Park, Chilkur. Around 30 Students from Sarojininaidu Vanitha Maha Vidhyalaya (Animal Welfare Club) participated in this Nature Camp.

The nature camp started yesterday at 3 pm, all the enthusiasts assembled at raintree rachabanda in the park. TSFDC Eco-Tourism Forest Range Officer L. Srinivas Rao and Eco-Tourism Projects Manager K. Suman briefed about all the scheduled activities and Do’s and Don’ts to follow till the end of the nature camp to all the participants.

The camp actively started with various Team building activities like roller coaster, number stamping, Creative World, task bar etc, later all the participants were taken to Camping site and given a demo on how to pich their own tent and made participants to pitch their tents at the camp site. After having their dinner they were taken for night trekking by providing lanterns to them and later we arranged bonfire at camp site and organised few events where all the participants involved and enjoyed too.

Today in the morning they got up at 5am and at 5.30 am they were taken for bird walk, before bird walk TSFDC provided Bird walk brochures and binoculars to identity the birds they see easily. After the bird walk they were taken for trekking through the hillocks to Pedda cheruvu and provided breakfast. And later they were taken to adventure activities.

One of the participant Dr. Manjusha said that ” on behalf of our college we really thank TSFDC staff and team for organizing such wonderful Nature Camp at this lovely Forest trek Park which is in the locality of Hyderabad itself and we enjoyed team building activities, pitching tent by ourselves, campfire with dance, bird walk and trekking too”.

TSFDC Executive Director, Eco-Tourism Ranjeet Nayak IFS attended closing ceremony of the Nature Camp at 11 am today and said that “We are happy to see all the nature lover enthusiasts here and spoken to them regarding the nature camp activities and amenities too. And he also said that we are going to organize nature camps every weekend in Forest trek Park and also in other such parks of TSFDC soon with proper measures, precautions and amenities too. We were organizing an alcohol-free or non-alcoholic nature camps by TSFDC where students and families can participate and enjoy. In this Nature Camp plantation Manager V. Lakshma Reddy, Naturalists Bhaskar, Srikanth and TSFDC staff Babu, Venkanna were participated.
