Ramagundam police to deploy NCC cadets for poll duties

PEDDAPALLI, MAY 12, 2024: In order to instill confidence of selfless service and develop democratic spirit among the young cadets, the Ramagundam Commissionerate of Police have decided to utilise the services of National Cadet Corps (NCC) on poll duties on May 13 (Monday).

The Commissionerate of police had roped in 90 NCC cadets from various educational institutions of the commissionerate limits. Accordingly, Commissioner of Police M Srinivas had conducted awareness meeting with the NCC cadets on Sunday.

On this occasion, the CP had educated the cadets the importance of discharging their poll duties in a transparent manner. Informing them to cooperative with the local police deployed at the polling stations, he instructed them not to enter the polling booths and discharge the duties of regulating the queue lines,. He also advised the cadets to be humble and polite with the voters visiting the polling stations.

He also informed them to help the senior citizens and others to exercise their franchise by taking them to the polling booth. He also clarified that the NCC cadets would be used only for regulation of queue lines and providing assistance to the voters. Additional DCP (admn) C Raju, Special Branch ACP Raghavendra Rao, AR ACP Surendra, CCRB inspector B Swamy, RI K Madhu and others were also present.
