IMPACT: Adilabad DEO serves show-cause notice to teacher for visiting Thailand without NOC

This website Hindu Dayashankar  published a news on March 30 about the teacher going on foreign jaunt  without NOC

ADILABAD, APRIL 01, 2024: Adilabad District Educational Officer T Pranitha has issued a show-cause notice against M Mahender Jadav, a School Assistant at Zilla Parishad High School, Bharampur village in Thalamadugu mandal on Monday.

Responding to a news item published in this website “Govt Teacher Goes on Foreign Jaunt as part of business trip without information from district authorities’ on March 30, 2024, the DEO sent a show-cause notice to the teacher stating that why action should not be initiated against him for touring a foreign country flouting norms. He was directed to provide his explanation within 10 days. Action would be taken against him, if he failed to give an appropriate answer to the notice as per rules of the Classification Control Appeal (CCA).

On the other hand, the Teachers Unions have found fault with the DEO for serving only a show-cause notice to the controversial teacher, who was doing business while working as government teacher and going on foreign trips as part of the promotion of the business. The Unions demanded that the government should immediately terminate the teacher from the service as he was already engaged in a private business activities and earning lots of money. His removal from service would help another unemployed youth to secure employment, they stated.

Teachers unions were criticising the department for failing to take action against the teacher. Yadav had reportedly toured Bangkok without obtaining a mandatory no-objection certification (NOC) from the department from March 7 to 10 as part of a business trip.
