Home Voting process begins in Karimnagar parliament constituency

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 03, 2024: The Home voting process for the senior citizens category (85 years of age and above) and the physically challenged persons through postal ballot has commenced in Karimnagar parliament constituency on Friday.

There are a total of 591 voters who crossed 85 years and above and another 1010 physically challenged persons in the constituency. The Home Voting process had begun on Friday and would continue till May 6. The left-over could exercise their franchise through Home voting facility on May 8. Accordingly, the district election authorities had constituted 25 teams in 36 routes to ensure the smooth conduct of Home voting.

District Election Officer and Collector Pamela Satpathy had personally supervised the Home Voting process in Mankammathota locality in Karimnagar town on Friday wherein a voter Vothuri Jagannatham exercised his franchise from his home under the supervision of Election observer Amit Kataria and others.

On this occasion, the Collector informed the senior citizens and specially abled persons to exercise their franchise through Home voting facilities introduced by the Election Commission of India. Additional Collector Praful Desai, trainee Collector Ajay Yadav, RDO K Maheshwar, tahsildar Ramesh and others were also present.
