Govt employees and teachers to vote for parties which revive Old Pension Scheme

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 02, 2024: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the government employees and teachers in the integrated Karimnagar district have demanded that they would vote in favour of the parties which would announce revival of the Old pension scheme (OPS) and scrap the Contributory pension scheme (CPS).

In a statement here on Thursday, Telangana state Contributory Pension Scheme Employees union district president Gangadhari Mahesh said the employees and teachers would extend support to the parties which would announce the revival of OPS. He said that the employees and teachers were worried lot over the no social security scheme after their retirement from the service.

He said that they would extend support to the party which would announce revival of OPS and abolish CPS. District leaders Myana Pawan Kumar, Sarva Satish, Gollapalli Mahesh Goud, Bhoga Srinivas, Sravan, Ravi, Vamshi, Janardhan, Satish, Sudhakar, Shankar and others were also present.
