‘Badi Bata’ programme intensified, ZPHS Annaram conducts meeting with women SHG members

KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 08, 2024: The ambitious ‘Badi Bata’ (enrolment of children into government schools) has been intensified by the teachers of various government schools in the rural areas of the Karimnagar district on Saturday.

Accordingly, the teachers of Zilla Parishad High School, Annaram village in Manakondur mandal, conducted a meeting with the women Self-help group members and enlightened about the importance of joining their wards in the government schools for availing quality education free of cost and with the supply of books, uniforms, shoes and midday meals free of cost.

On this occasion, Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan coordinator Ashok Reddy had formally launched the integrated flat panel (IFP) in the classrooms of the school to impart digital education to the students. He also said that the government schools alone were promoting sports with the availability spacious grounds.

Another coordinator Anjaneyulu said that Collector Pamela Satpathy had announced to distribute shoes to all the students free of cost. MEO Madhusudhana Chary said that the government was also providing transportation charges to the students coming from far-off places to the government schools.

Headmaster N Sudarshanam said that several students who studied in the government schools were excelling in various positions. He appealed to the parents to join their wards into the government schools and ensure that they regularly attend the classes. Former sarpanch Botla Kishan, former upa-sarpanch Mahender Reddy, school well-wisher Bodhireddy Srinivas Reddy, Amma Adarshan patashala committee president Neelam Lavanya, SHG groups leaders Bathula Baghyalaxmi, Padma, Swaroopa, Varshini, Saritha, mandal APM Santosh, Srinivas, Niranjan and others were also present.

Similarly, the teachers of ZPHS Indurthi village of Chigurumamidi mandal had enrolled 25 students into the school during their door to door campaign on Saturday as part of ‘badi bata’ programme.

The teachers along with former students of the school have took out a procession in the village and educated the parents about the need to join their wards into the government schools for quality and free education. Headmistress Ch Jayaprada, Amma Adarsha patashala chairperson Mallamma, teaching faculty Tirupathi, Ramana Chary, Odelu Kumar, Manjula, Pawan Kumar, Madhavi, Raghupathi Reddy, Savitha, Sathaiah, Ramadevi, Niharika, Indravathi and primary school teachers Usha, Bhavani, Jalapathi Reddy, Anganwadi workers Indira Vijaya, Muramma and others were present.
