


In this festival, fragrant flowers and various types of fruits are offered to the deity. The Mandapam has been tastefully decorated, recreating a forest look. As part of this, Sri Malayappa Swamy, along with Sridevi Bhudevi, reached the Vasanthotsava Mandapam in a procession. Later, the holy water bath, Snapana Tirumanjanam, was held for Sri Bhu sametha Sri Malayappa Swamy from 2 to 4 pm.
First, the Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachana, Navakalashabhisheka, and Rajopachara were performed. After that, the offerings of Chhatra Chamara Vyajana Darpanadi, Mukha Prakshalana, and Dhoopa were performed.
As part of the Arghyapada Nivedana, the holy water bath was performed with Ksheera (milk), Dadhi (curd), Madi (honey), Narikelam (coconut water), Haridrodakam (turmeric), and Gandhodakam (sandalwood). With these, the conch shell, chakradhara, sahasradhara, and Mahakumbha Abhishekam were performed as per Vaikhanasa Agama.
On this occasion, the Vedic scholars recited the Taittariya Upanishad, Purushasukta, Srisukta, Bhusukta, Neelasukta, Panchasanthi mantras, and the connecting verses of the Divya Prabandha during the Abhishekam. During this ceremony, various garlands were decked to the deities in each ritual. After that, the Utsava Murthies reached the temple.
On the second day of the Vasantotsavam, on April 11, from 8 to 10 am, Sri Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by Sri Bhu Devis, will take a procession along the four mada streets on the golden chariot. Later, the priests will conduct the Vasantotsavam in the Vasantotsava Mandapam. HH Tirumala Sri Sri Sri Peddajiyar Swamy, Sri Sri Sri Chinajiyar Swamy, Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, Deputy EO Lokanatham, Peishkar Rama Krishna and other officials participated in this programme.
