

AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu to attend the celebrations and present silk vastrams
VONTIMITTAA (KADAPA), APRIL 11, 2025: The entire premises of Sri Kodanda Rama Temple in Vontimitta also known as the Ekashilanagaram decked with colourful electric illumination, donned a new look and rightly attained the name Andhra’s Ayodhya.
The floral decorations and electrical illumination carried out by the TTD Electrical and Garden departments as part of the annual Brahmotsavam in Vontimitta are captivating the devotees. The temple complex and the celestial wedding venue have been set up with magnificent truss lighting.

All arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of ‘Sita Rama Kalyanam’, the celestial wedding organised as a State festival, at the Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Kadapa district on Friday (April 11). ‘Kalyana Vedika’, the venue of the grand event, is fully decorated for the event, which will be held between 6.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will present ‘silk vastrams’ to the temple, which will be adorned on the idols.

A total of 10 large and 30 small electric cutouts of various deities have been erected on the roads connecting the temple and the Kalyana Vedika. These include large cutouts of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara, Sita Rama, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam, Maha Vishnu, Vishwaroopam and Dasavataram. Similarly, small cutouts of Ashtalakshmi, Thumburu, Annamachara have also been installed.
Besides, the illumination around the Gopuram, the Prakaram, Sri Venkateswara Swamy three-dimensional illumination, one at the temple and another at the wedding venue, and the electric diamond crown model are attracting the devotees. Nearly 100 workers worked day and night for a month to make these electric decorations.
Two LED screens have been set up near the main temple and 23 inside and around the Kalyana Vedika to enable devotees to watch the Sita Rama Kalyanam from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on April 11.
For the best audio, radio, and broadcasting have been set up with a line array sound mechanism.
Around 350 air coolers have been set up to keep the devotees cool and relieve them from the summer heat in the galleries. AC and air coolers have also been set up on the main stage of the Kalyana Vedika.
These arrangements are being made under the instructions of CE Sri Satyanarayana in the direct supervision of SE Electrical Sri Venkateswarulu and in the guidance of the DEs Sri Ravi Shankar Reddy, Smt. Saraswathi and their team who havs been monitoring the arrangements from time to time.
