TIRUMALA, MAY 03, 2024: Sudden rains and hailstorms had bought much sought after relief from the sweltering heat wave conditions on the Tirumala Hills on Friday.
The downpour with gales and ice balls had inundated several low-lying areas and mada streets of the Tirumala temple shrine. The rains had given some relief to the devotees visiting the shrine with cool breezes.
On the other hand, the pilgrims had swelled considerably on Friday. The devotees without tokens were taking 15 hours to 18 hours time for darshan. The SSD tokens and Divya darshan was taking four to seven hours and Rs 300 token darshan was taking three to five hours.
