KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 24, 2024: Palm Sunday was celebrated in Karimnagar town with religious fervour as children carrying palm leaves and chanting ‘Hosanna’ took out processions in various parts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
Palm Sunday marks the entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem before his crucifixion and later resurrection. Special prayers services were held at Wesley Cathedral church by Rev Paul Komal Madhumohan, Secertary Ch Devadas, committee members participated. Similarly, at Centenary church, S John Ayyagaru, secretary C Narayana, Treasurer Ch Sanjay and others participated.
The Christians spread their cloaks and palm branches on the streets and shouted ‘Hosanna’, which is liturgical word used as a cry of praise.
