KARIMNAGAR, MAY 29, 2024: District Agriculture Officer B Srinivas has said that they had made all arrangements with required quantity of seeds and fertilizers for the khariff season in Karimnagar district.
Against the requirement of 11,000 packets of cotton seeds, the stocks of 12,000 packets of cotton seeds were made available in entire Karimnagar district. He called upon the farmers not to demand for a particular brand of cotton seeds and there was every possibility of exploitation by the dealers and added that any seed would ensure good yield if the farmers take up cultivation with proper planning.
Accordingly, the Agricultural officers lead by its DAO, Assistant Agriculture officer K Ranadheer Kumar, Urban agriculture officer Haritha, Karimnagar rural MAO Satyam, Kothapalli MAO Ranjith and others visited various shops and dealers to inspect the availability of stocks of seeds and green manure (pachi rotte) on Wednesday.
On this occasion, the DAO said that against the requirement of 4500 quintals green manure seeds in the district, they had supplied 2200 quintals of seeds so far and the remaining seeds would be arrived in few days and there was no shortage of the green manure seeds. He also said that the paddy, maize, redgram, greengram and other crop seeds were adequate in the district and there was no shortage of any seed.
