KARIMNAGAR, MAY 10, 2024: In a shocking incident, a newborn infant was found dead in the sewerage drain near the RTC bus station toilets at Huzurabad town on Friday evening.
A few passersby who noticed the body of the infant alerted the police, who rushed to spot and wrapped the body and shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. The police suspect that the woman might have delivered the infant in the toilet or in any private hospitals and nursing homes in the region.
Human Rights Committee Huzurabad assembly segment incharge P Latha Reddy visited the spot and expressed shock over the barbaric act. She said that the woman, who had delivered the infant, had bought disgrace to the womanhood on the eve of Mother’s Day.
