KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 11, 2024: The Karimnagar One town police have registered a criminal case against BRS legislator from Huzurabad Padi Kaushik Reddy allegedly on the charges of abusing and threatening entire police department of the Telangana state.
Following a complaint lodged by NGO representatives Purushotham and Ashish Goud, the Karimnagar One Town police have registered a criminal case against the Huzurabad MLA. It may be recalled that the BRS Karimnagar parliament constituency meeting which was chaired by BRS working president K Rama Rao and others on March 7 at a hotel in Karimnagar town.
On this occasion, Mr Kaushik Reddy made wild charges on the entire police department alleging that the police were registering false cases against the BRS leaders and harassing them. “We will come back to power and will not leave any one from the rank of constable to DGP and send them to jail”, Kaushik Reddy warned.
These statements by BRS MLA were hurting the sentiments of the police department, the complainants stated. It may be recalled during the counting Assembly elections in December 2023, the Karimnagar Two town police have registered a case against Kaushik Reddy for verbally abusing and threatening a constable Anji Reddy when the latter advised Kaushik Reddy and his supporters against the congregation in front of counting centre at SRR college following the section 144.
