Why government teachers and employees not joining their wards in government schools? Ask private schools

KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 09, 2024: With the state government intensifying its campaigning to enroll the children into government schools by launching ‘Badi bata’ programme from June 6 to 19, the private schools have also launched a counter campaign on social media asking the parents why the teachers and the government employees are not joining their wards into the government schools for quality education.

Even as the government teachers are campaigning to enroll the children into the government schools, the parents are puzzled over why the government teachers and the employees are joining their children in the government schools for quality education and transformation?

Sources said that the politicians, government employees and teachers join their wards in the top private schools for better and quality education to meet the changing global scenario and competition world. The government employees and teachers know very well that the education provided in the government schools was outdated and hence joining their children in the private schools for quality education and allround development of the children to meet the changing environment in the higher education sector.

A ZPHS headmaster said that “we are educating the parents to send their children to the government schools for quality education at a free of cost including distribution of uniforms, books and midday meals”. He claimed that the several private school students were showing interest to join their wards into the government schools as they were educating the importance of studying in the government schools.

Reminding that several government teachers have joined their wards in the government schools to secure admission in IIIT Basara, he said that the IIIT Basara gives preferences only for the students from the government schools. When reminded that why the government teachers are not joining their wards in the government schools, he said that the children of more than 80 per cent teachers are grown up and studying higher education.

Telangana Recognised Scools Management Association (TRSMA) honourary president Y Shekhar Rao said that all the government teachers and employees were preferring to join their children in the private schools for quality education to meet the growing challenges in the society. The private teachers have regular orientation programmes to change their teaching methods as per the present situation for the transformation of the children, he stated.

Claiming that the students studying in the private schools have good communication skills when compared to their government school counterparts, he said that the government teachers have ‘job security’  and they do not focus on upgrading their skills  to transform the students.

Above all, the private teachers are dedicated to the teaching profession unlike the government teachers, who focus on other business activities such as running chits, finance, real estate, marketing of other products, he said and added that recently there was also an incident of a government teacher going to a luxury trip to a foreign country sponsored by a water purifier company for marketing its product without information of the district educational authorities in Adilabad district.

The private schools are well-equipped when compared to the government schools to provide quality education to the students and provide other basic amenities. He said that the private schools do not require any much publicity and their own parents and former students publicise about our schools performance and teaching methods.
