Beautician certificate course concludes at GDC women Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 29, 2024: A beautician course was launched at Government Degree College for women in Karimnagar town by the Women Empowerment Cell of the college for their self-employment with the support of Lions Club concluded on Monday with the distribution of certificates to all the participants.

With the spreading of beauty and health consciousness in rural area too, many enthusiastic women of various mandals are learning beautician courses to get self-employment in an easy manner, thanks to the free training programmes being conducted by GDC women in association with Lions club, majority of students were being trained in beautifician course under the supervision of trainer T Sanjana.

Interestingly, majority of the candidates are from semi-urban and rural areas as they found that there was a huge demand for beauty parlours in places in the rural areas and mandal headquarters. As part of the training, they learnt hair cutting, pedicure, manicure, scrubbing, facial and applying of mehindi. They were also explained about the types of skins and use of right cosmetics.

Women Empowerment Cell Covenor N Sangeetha Rani said that they were training girls in beautician course and help them earn decent income on their own by establishing parlours in various places of the district. The private institutions charges huge amount for training and the college was offering training with the support of Lions Club of Karimnagar, she stated and added that the students utilised the opportunity with more enthusiasm.

Lions Club coordinator Ragi Vandana, principal T Sree Lakshmi, WEC members Prashanti, Jyothi, Rajani Devi, Jyotiormai, Sujata, Mounika, Ramya and others were also present.
