Arvintree School Celebrates Annual day with pomp and gaiety

Captivates audience with a ballet on the epic Ramayana

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 08, 2023:  The annual day celebrations of Arvintree High School, Vasudeva colony, Karimnagar town, concluded on a vibrant note even as the students and the staff went all out to make the function a grand success on Thursday evening.

Underlying theme of the celebration of ‘Incredible India’, the School conducted its eighth annual day celebrations under the theme of ‘Akatva-2024’.  The four-hour event brought together a vibrant tapestry of performances showcasing the diverse traditions and heritage of the country. Students, in their performances, focused on the fact that the country is as diverse as it is vast with each region offering its own unique blend of customs, traditions and beliefs.

The much-awaited segment of the evening, Ramayana, opened with a profusion of colours, rhyme and rhythm. The bubbling tiny tots, well organized and deftly trained by their dedicated teachers, took the stage with confidence and enacted their parts with diligence. The narration and dialogues in perfect with appropriate stage decoration created an aura of brilliance, transporting the audience to the world of the epic.

The dancers in their splendid costumes brought a riot of colours and grace on the stage especially those of the forest scenes. The mellifluous songs, the background music, the pictures on the giant screen and the detailed props prepared by the teachers, blended perfectly with the sublime theme.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome speech by school chairman B Ramana Rao followed by the inauguration of the programme by the lighting of lamp by Karimnagar Third Additional District judge Neeraja, Mayor Y Sunil Rao, Sahitya Academi award winner Varala Anand, school Correspondent B Vijaya Lakshmi and others.

On this occasion, the dignitaries presented prizes to the outstanding students who excelled in SSC examinations and the toppers of school in IIT and NEET examinations. A seventh class student K Srideetya Sloka bagged the school topper prize in the IIT and NEET examinations. She also participated in the ballet on the epic Ramayana and won accolades.
