Navahnika Brahmotsavam – A visual spectacle

TIRUMALA,  SEPTEMBER 02, 2025:  he annual nine-day festival of Tirumala -Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be celebrated in a grand manner at Tirumala from September 24 to October 02 this year.

Among the umpteen number of festivals observed all through the year in Tirumala, the annual brahmotsavams is considered as the mega religious fete and stand as a visual spectacle to the tens and thousands of devotees thronging the festivities during that time.

The nine-day fest begins with the Ankurarpanam, the ritual of prelude, on the evening of September 23.

Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam – the temple cleansing ritual will be held at the Srivari Temple on September 16, on the previous Tuesday before the Brahmotsavams.

The grandeur of annual Brahmotsavams is enhanced with it Vahana Sevas.  Every day, the processional deity of Sri Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by His two Consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi on a few carriers, while on some appears solo to bless the devotees along the four mada streets encircling the Tirumala temple.

Every day, the vahana sevas are observed both in the morning and in the evening.

The morning vahana sevas are from 8 am to 10 am, while the evening ones are from 7 pm to 9 pm during the Brahmotsavams.

24/09/2025 – Flag hoisting (Dhwajarohanam) in the auspicious Meena Lagnam between 05:43 pm to 6.15 pm, Pedda Sesha Vahanam at 9 pm.

25/09/2025 – 8 am Chinna Sesha Vahanam, 1 pm to 3 pm Snapanam, 7 pm Hamsa Vahanam

26/09/2025 – 8 am Simha Vahanam, 1 pm Snapanam, 7 pm Mutyapu Pandiri Vahanam

27/09/2025 – 8 am Kalpavriksham Vahanam, 1 pm Snapanam, 7 pm Sarva Bhupala Vahanam

28/09/2025 – 8 am Mohini Avataram, 6:30 pm Garuda Vahanam

29/09/2025 – 8 am Hanumantha Vahanam, 4 pm Swarna Ratham, 7 pm Gaja Vahanam

30/09/2025 – 8 am Suryaprabha, 7 pm Chandraprabha 

01/10/2025 – Chariot procession at 7 am, Aswa Vahanam at 7 pm

02/10/2025 – Chakrasnanam from 6 am to 9 pm, 

Dhwahavarohanam from 8:30 pm to 10 pm
