KARIMNAGAR, JULY 22, 2026: The 101st birth anniversary of renowned Telugu poet, freedom fighter and writer Dasarathi Krishnamacharya, known for his immortal line ‘Naa Telangana Koti Ratanala Veena’, was celebrated at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Karimnagar, on Wednesday (July 22, 2026).
Speaking on the occasion, Principal T. Malathi highlighted his contributions to the Telangana movement and Telugu literature and encouraged students to draw inspiration from his revolutionary spirit. The Department of Telugu conducted an elocution competition, and prizes were awarded to the outstanding performers. Vice-Principal S. Padmaja, ACO Vasumathi, faculty members, NAAC Coordinator G. Samatha, NSS Programme Officer Geetha Rani, and others participated in the programme.
