KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 22, 2024: The Congress party high command has finalised the candidature of Velichala Rajender Rao from the Karimnagar parliament constituency for the Lok Sabha elections, according to reliable sources.
Accordingly, Mr Rajender Rao would be filing his nomination papers on Monday (April 22) by taking out a massive rally from Circus grounds to the Collectorate. Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar, Manakondur legislator and DCC president Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Government Whip and Vemulawada legislator Adi Srinivas, Choppadandi legislator Medipalli Satyam and others participate in the procession.
Mr Rajender Rao is the son former legislator and senior Congress leader Velichala Jagapathi Rao. He contested from Karimnagar parliament constituency on Praja Rajyam Party in 2009 and secured third position by securing more than one lakh votes.
