TIRUMALA, APRIL 21, 2024: Sri Krishna Chaitanya Sangham president of East Godavari district Korukonda Kalyana Apparao presented One crore Thalambralu on Sunday for the Kalyanam of Sri Sitarama to be held at Vontimitta in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh state on Monday.
These talambralu weighing 180 kg were presented at the temple in the presence of Deputy EO Natesh Babu and Priest Shravan Kumar. For these Thalambralu, paddy was grown especially for six months and the devotees from four states prepared it by husking it with finger nail for three months with great devotion.
Kalyana Apparao said that under the auspices of this association, they have been giving presentation to Bhadradri Rama for the past 13 years and Vontimitta Sri Rama since last seven years on the occasion of Kalyanotsavam. Superintendent Hanumanthaiah, Temple Inspector Naveen, other officials and a large number of devotees participated in this programme.
