PEDDAPALLI, OCTOBER 28, 2024: NTPC Ramagundam, in collaboration with Rohini Foundation, proudly inaugurated a Dental, Anemia & Cancer Screening Camp on Monday at Manthani as part of the Project Iron, Healthy Child initiative.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Additional Collector G.V. Shyam Prasad Lal, NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana Executive Director Kedar Ranjan Pandu.
The inauguration is part of NTPC’s ongoing commitment to societal betterment, coinciding with its milestone of 50 years of service and the 40-year operational excellence of the Ramagundam Unit -1. Over the past three years, NTPC Ramagundam has transformed local communities through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Notable achievements include:
Education: Benefiting 78,781 students through classroom construction, furniture provision, and digital classrooms.
Health: Supporting over 155,500 individuals from 105 villages with medical facilities, including hospitals, blood banks, and mobile health camps.
Water Accessibility: Providing fresh drinking water to approximately 204,500 residents.
Electricity Access: Installing solar streetlights and grid connections to light homes for 225,000 individuals.
Last year, NTPC launched an Oral Health Campaign in partnership with the Rohini Foundation, which provided top-quality dental care to over 10,000 underprivileged girl students across more than 50 schools, resulting in improved health outcomes.
Speaking on the occasion, NTPC ED Mr Kedar Ranjan Pandu emphasised the importance of a healthy body and ensured that NTPC will continue to empower & uplift the generation to come with its various CSR activities. This will be a six-month health assessment and follow-up camp, more than 12000 students will be benefitted from this initiative. It has been organised by the District Administration, funded by NTPC Ramagundam, CSR-CD & implementation partner is Rohini Foundation.
