They charged that former VC S Mallesham had ruined the Satavahana University with several irregularities
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18, 2024: The National Scheduled Castes Protection Committee, Karimnagar District unit has urged Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar to conduct a thorough inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the Satavahana University and illegal recruitment taken up during the former Vice Chancellor S Mallesham.
The National SC Protection Committee Karimnagar district unit president Davu Santosh Kumar and others submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister along with all pieces of evidence about irregularities and recruitments taken up during the former VC S Mallesham and violation of the Constitution.
He stated that the Chemistry department professor and University Science College principal Arasaan Jayanthi, is a converted Christian belonging to Tamil Nadu state and she illegally secured the job in Scheduled Caste quota and married a Muslim man violating the Constitution and denying the benefits to real dalit of Telangana state.
He alleged that Satavahana University was plagued with several irregularities during the regime of former VC S Mallesham. He charged that the former VC had violated all the norms resorted to several illegal transfers and promotions and encouraged religious conversions in the university. He also alleged that the former VC had swindled the university funds for his whims and fancies by taking up various developmental works to earn commissions.
He urged the Union Minister to order a thorough inquiry and take action against the Chemistry Professor Jayanthi for illegal recruitment denying the chances to the local Dalits. The Committee leaders A Ravi, Vijay Kumar, Chiranjeevi, Srikanth and others were also present.
