KARIMNAGAR, MAY 15, 2026: National Online Seminar on “Impacts, Outcomes, and Consequences of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” was conducted as part of the “Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika” (99 Days Initiative Programme) introduced by the Government of Telangana, the Department of Botany, NSS Cell, and Eco Club of SRR Government Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Karimnagar, on Thursday.
Key Highlights:
Keynote Address: Professor B. Gayathri from Tamil Nadu attended as the keynote speaker. She delivered a comprehensive lecture on the transformations occurring in higher education through AI, focusing on its impacts, results, and future consequences. Padala Thirupathi acted as the Program Coordinator and Organising Secretary, overseeing the event’s execution under the NSS, Botany Department, and Eco Club.
Principal’s Message (SRR College): Professor K Ramakrishna, Principal of the college, remarked that Artificial Intelligence is like a double-edged sword. He advised the youth to use it wisely in classrooms, research, medicine, and various scientific fields to achieve positive results.
Collaborative Effort: Professor Achyutha Devi, Principal of Raja Bahadur Venkatarama Reddy (RBVRR) Women’s College, thanked the organisers for the collaboration between SRR and RBVRR colleges. She emphasised the necessity of awareness to ensure AI is used in the right direction. Expert Insights: Professor Tirukovela Srinivas, Head of the Botany Department and Controller of Examinations, noted that while AI offers simplified solutions in research and medicine, it is everyone’s responsibility to understand its long-term implications.

General Participation: Over 250 participants, including professors from various universities, faculty members from state degree and PG colleges, NSS volunteers, and students, successfully attended the session. The event concluded successfully with participants receiving online certificates. The organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the webinar.
