MIM decided to contest local bodies’ elections in integrated Karimnagar district

It would emerge as a force to reckon with, says MIM leader Ghulam Ahmed

KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 03, 2024: The AIMIM Karimnagar district unit has decided to contest the ensuing local bodies’ elections including sarpanch, MPTC and ZPTC along with Municipal elections.

Disclosing this to newsmen here on Sunday, MIM district president Syed Ghulam Ahmed Hussain said that the party’s high command and national president Asaduddin Owaisi informed the MIM to contest the local bodies’ elections in the integrated Karimnagar district and show its presence felt. He said that the MIM would contest the local bodies’ elections by fielding candidates belonging to SC\ST\BC and minorities and added that the party high command would take a final call on the alliance in the ensuing elections.

Stating that the MIM had decided to contest 75 corporators and councillors in the municipalities of integrated Karimnagar district, he said that the party would contest from 25 corporators seats in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation and snatch at least 20 seats and secure the Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts. He said that the MIM had emerged as a force to reckon with in the Karimnagar Assembly segment during the five years.

Condemning the allegations made by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar against the party, he said that the BJP leader cannot survive and there is no political career without making any statements against the MIM. Refuting the allegations against the MIM president Asadudddin, he said that the MIM had become a strong force in Hyderabad for the last four decades because of development taken up during its regime.

He advised the Union Minister to strive for the development of the Karimnagar parliament and prove his sincerity. He said that the MIM had set up several educational institutions and transformed the student community by providing free education.

He said that Bandi Sanjay Kumar had failed to take up any developmental works during his tenure as Karimnagar MP and now as Union Minister of State for Home Affairs. Instead of the development of Karimnagar, the city had progressed in reverse, he charged.  MIM leaders Abbas Sami, Yunus  Nadeem, Abdul Rafi, Akram, Imran Ali, Meer Jakeer Ali, Mustafa, Barkat Ali, Hafeez Syed Mouiddin Qadri Yosuf, Athina, Ibrahim, corporators Akhil Feroze, Sharfuddin, town leaders Ali Baba, Azar Dabeer and others were also present.
