RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, NOVEMBER 03, 2024: With the onset of Karthika masam, Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla is packed to the brim with the arrival of hordes of devotees parts of the country to offer prayers to the presiding deities on Sunday.
Devotees compete in the lighting of lamps as part of the ritual during the Karthika masam at the temple shrine. A record number of over 60,256 devotees had darshan at the temple shrine on Sunday. The temple authorities said that the devotees would swell further on Monday, the auspicious day for Lord Shiva. Already, the devotees had arrived in large numbers and occupied every available space in the temple town. The devotees would take a holy dip in the Holy tank and offer early morning prayers to the presiding deities.
As part of the Karthika masam celebrations, the Vemulawada devasthanam had decided to conduct cultural programmes on Karthika Pournami on November 15, 2024. Accordingly, the Temple EO Vinod Reddy invited Government Whip and Vemulawada legislator Adi Srinivas to participate in the celebrations.
