HYDERABAD, APRIL 11, 2025: Management of the Sister Nivedita High School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, organised a special counseling and awareness session titled ‘Finding Your Passion’ for students of Classes IX and X on Friday. The session was conducted by Ms. Krishna Kumari K, an experienced educator, certified career guidance counsellor, soft skills trainer, and personality development coach.

The session focused on helping students navigate the emotional challenges they face during the formative years of academic and career planning. Ms. Krishna Kumari addressed key concerns such as the fear of acceptance and the influence of peer pressure—factors that often affect students’ confidence and decision-making.
Through real-life examples, role-plays, and engaging discussions, students were encouraged to explore their values, identify their unique strengths, and make choices aligned with their true passions rather than simply following trends or external expectations.
“Peer pressure is real, but so is the power to say no,” Ms. Krishna Kumari remarked, inspiring students to be confident in their individuality while remaining respectful towards others.
The session saw enthusiastic participation from students, who openly shared their thoughts and learned practical strategies to handle social influences healthily and assertively.
Dr. Lalitha Kumari, the Principal, also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive school environment where every learner feels seen, heard, and accepted. The session proved to be both empowering and transformative, reminding students that self-acceptance is the first step toward discovering one’s true potential.
As part of its holistic education approach, the school plans to conduct more such sessions to nurture the emotional well-being and personal growth of its students. Chairman of the school Dr Sudhakar Rao Polasani, appreciated the students’ enthusiastic participation in the workshop and the correspondent of the school, Rtn Hari Hara Prasad, emphasised the importance of the holistic development of the students through such sessions.
