HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 01, 2024: Sister Nivedita, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, hosted a comprehensive Parent Orientation Programme for the parents of classes 1 and 2 . The programme began with a warm welcome from our respected principal Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari followed by a welcome speech by the 1 and 2 coordinator Mrs. Sumathi.
The principal emphasized the importance of open communication and collaboration between home and school. The principal shared the school’s vision, mission, and core values, highlighting how these principles guide our approach to education. Parents were reassured that their children’s academic success, emotional well-being, and overall development were the top priorities of the school.
During the orientation, parents were given an in-depth overview of the NCF-FS, changes happening in the education system as per NEP 2020, and curriculum, including key subjects, learning outcomes, assessment methods and advantages of Jaadui Pitara. This segment was particularly valuable for parents, as it provided clarity on what their children will be learning and how their progress will be evaluated. The curriculum presentation also included a discussion on how parents can support their children’s learning at home, ensuring a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
Parents had the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and network with teachers and fellow parents. The event concluded by giving parents a glimpse into their child’s learning environment and a thank you note by Mrs. Madhu Latha.
The queries of the parents were satisfactorily answered by the teachers. The parents were apprised about the strengths and weaknesses of their wards and the teachers gave suggestions for improvement so that they can prepare for their examination. The teachers also asked for understanding and co-operation from the parents for the development of their wards.
Overall, the Parent Orientation Program was a great success, setting the tone for a productive and supportive academic year. The school looks forward to continuing this partnership with parents to foster a nurturing and inclusive community.
