KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 29, 2024: In an engaging experiential learning session, the junior KG little inquirers have explored the world of fruits and vegetables at Advita International School, Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar, on Tuesday

The activity aimed to enhance their understanding of different types of produce, their nutritional values, and various ways to enjoy them. With the guidance of their teachers, the children participated in a hands-on experience by cutting and mixing a colourful fruit salad.

The session began with an interactive discussion about various fruits and vegetables, highlighting their benefits—such as vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Students learned about the importance of healthy eating and how incorporating a variety of produce can contribute to their overall well-being.
Equipped with child-friendly utensils, the children enthusiastically saw chopping of fruits like bananas, apples, melons, and berries, developing fine motor skills while enjoying the process. As they combined their ingredients, they also practiced teamwork and communication, sharing their thoughts on flavours and textures.
By the end of the activity, the students not only created a delicious fruit salad but also developed a deeper appreciation for healthy foods. “This experiential learning approach effectively combined nutrition education with practical skills, promoting healthy habits that can last a lifetime,” said the school’s Director Mr Anudeep Sowgani. Principal, Ms Madhuri Swetha commended the dedication of Jr KG teachers for creating an enriching experiential learning session.
