Earlier, special pujas, including Tirumanjana Abhishekam, were performed to Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy.
TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham and others were also present.
At the gigantic statue of Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy located in the 7th Mile of Down Ghat road, special Pujas and Asthanam were performed in the evening amidst chanting of Vedic mantras in the accompaniment of Nada Swaram and Dolu. Later Prasadams were distributed to the devotees.
Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, temple DyEO Lokanatham, VGOs Ramkumar, Surendra, Health Officer Dr Madhusudhan and others were also present.
TTD chairman offers Pattu Vastrams to Japali Hanuman
Upon his arrival at the temple, the Chairman was welcomed by the priests, who facilitated his darshan of Japali Hanuman.
After performing special pujas to the deity, the priests honoured the Chairman with Sindhoora vastram and offered Theertha Prasadams.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, the TTD Board Chief said that offering Pattu Vastrams to Japali Hanuman on Hanuman Jayanti is a long-standing tradition. He said he prayed to Sri Japali Hanuman to bestow His blessings upon all the devotees.
