KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 18, 2024: The Congress leader from Jammikunta T Sammi Reddy has urged Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakthi V Somanna to take necessary measures to upgrade the Jammikunta railway station with all amenities for the passengers visiting the ancient station of the integrated Karimnagar district.
The Union Minister visited Krishi Vignana Kendra in Jammikunta town to participate in Kisan Sammelan programme on Tuesday. On this occasion, former Agriculture market committee of Jammikunta Sammi Reddy has submitted a petition urging the Union government to take measures for the development of the Jammikunta railway station by providing escalator facilities and increase of platforms.
Stating that the Jammikunta railway station was providing good income to the Railways with the availability of Telangana’s biggest agricultural marketyard, he urged the Union Minister to construct the third platform following the completion of third railway line on the GT route from Kazipet to Khagaznagar.
