Launches new reforms to ensure transparency and accountability of employees
Instructs Area General Managers to conduct surprise inspections to ensure all employees are discharging their duties effectively
PEDDAPALLI, JUNE 18, 2024: Management of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), which has focused on increasing the coal production has now focused on the administration by introducing reforms to ensure transparency and accountability among its employees.
Accordingly, Singareni chairman and managing director N Balaram has instructed the officials of stern action in the event of dereliction of their duties. In a statement here on Tuesday, the C&MD stated that they had received complaints that some people working in mines and offices were being shown present even though they were absent. Action would be taken if the relevant officials do not inspect the working places in the underground mines daily, he warned.
Stating that all the employees and officers should also register their biometric attendance every day, he said every employee and officer in Singareni should follow strict punctuality and should not go out after joining duty or sit idle.
“Singareni is stepping into other fields as part of its business expansion. There is a great need to increase the company’s productivity. It is imperative that the employees and officers perform their duties with discipline,” he said.
The Singareni security officials have found that 32 employees of the Corporate office in Kothagudem were negligent of their duties and sent the details to the authorities concerned about their arrival and departure from the office. Stating that the concerned warned to mend their ways and discharge their duties sincerely, he instructed the concerned area general managers to conduct surprise inspections of the underground mines and other locations regularly to ensure transparency and accountability of employees.
