KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 30, 2024: Former Manakondur MLA Arepalli Mohan on Friday rejoined the Congress party in the presence of Telangana Congress party affairs incharge Deepa Das Munshi, Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar, Manakondur MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana and others in Hyderabad.
Mr Mohan defected to BRS in 2019 following denial of party ticket to contest from Peddapalli parliament constituency. In 2023, he joined the BJP and contested on the party ticket from Manakondur assembly segment and lost in the hands of Congress candidate Kavvampalli Satyanarayana. He came back to the grand old Congress party on Friday.
A staunch follower of Congress party, Mr Mohan was former sarpanch of Manakondur and became Zilla Parishad chairman. Later, he became MLA from Manakondur assembly segment and Government Whip.
In a statement here, Mr Mohan thanked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, deputy CM Batti Vikramarka, Minister for IT Duddilla Sridhar Babu, district incharge minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and others.
