PEDDAPALLI, MARCH 30, 2024: “‘Run for Jesus”, the unique evangelical and ecumenical rally was organised in Godavarikhani coal belt in Ramagundam of Peddapalli district on Saturday.
The ecumenical rally bought together both the Catholic and Protestant Churches, proclaiming the message of crucifixion and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ on the occasion of Good Friday and Easter. Thousands of Christians from all the churches came onto the roads by walking, running and riding motorcycles, waving flags and shouting with joy that “Christ is risen, indeed Christ is risen”.
The rally commenced from Godavarikhani main cross roads and converged at Ramagundam municipal office. Ramagundam legislator Makhan Singh Raj Thakur, Congress party leaders and Municipal corporators and Pastors- Mahi Paul Reddy, Delight, Laxman Jacob and others participated. The rally was organised by Inter denominational pastors fellowship (IPF) and all the pastors of Ramagundam assembly segment. The Run culminated in great rejoicing with Praise and Worship conducted by the local Gospel Singers and the senior Pastors delivered a short Easter message.
