KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 18, 2024: Shakunthala Markonda, who is Head of Department (Economics) and Assistant Professor and also NSS programme officer from Government Degree College for Women in Karimnagar town, has been selected for the Senior National Yogasana Sports Championship, which would be held from March 19 to 23 at Hoogly in West Bengal state.
Shankutala secured first place in the Telangana state-level Yogasana sports championship and selected for the Senior Nationals competitions. She has to her credit of winning several district level and state-level yogasan competitions from 2017 to 2023. College principal T Sree Lakshmi and other faculty members congratulated Shakuntala on her selections to Nationals and wished her good luck and bring reputation to the college and the Telangana state.
