Janmashtami celebrated with religious fervour at Rishi The Play School in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 31, 2024: Rishi The Play School, Housing Board colony, Karimnagar town, celebrated Janmashtami with religious fervour and gaiety on their school premises on Saturday.

The students embraced the spirit of the occasion by dressing up as Lord Krishna, Radha, Gopikas, complete with traditional flutes, peacock feathers, and ‘matkas’, adding a touch of authenticity to the celebration. The pre-primary teachers brought the story of Krishna’s birth to life through a captivating enactment, leaving the young audience both entertained and educated.

School chairman Chennappa launched the celebrations by offering prayers to the statue of Lord Krishna. On this occasion, he emphasized the importance of the life lessons that can be learnt from Lord Krishna.

Students enthralled the audience with a dramatic play that beautifully depicted the life of Lord Krishna. The festivities continued with spirited dance performances set to the melodious tunes of Radha and Krishna songs. Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, the school choir rendered ‘bhajans’ with a purity and devotion that resonated deeply with the audience. The students also radiated charm, with the children dressed in vibrant Radha and Krishna attire, embodying the spirit of the festival. Incharge Kaushal Kamarapu, Administrator Rajitha, teachers and others were also present.
