

NEW DELHI, APRIL 23, 2025: In the wake of deadly terror attack on the tourists by the terrorists belonging to The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, which had reportedly killed around 28 persons including two foreigners at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, Union Minister for Home Amit Shah rushed to the spot where the civilians were killed by the TRF militants on Wednesday.


The Union Minister met the bereaved family members and consoled them. He also paid last respects to the deceased of the Pahalgam terror attack. In his X lost, Mr Amit Shah stated, “With a heavy heart, paid last respects to the deceased of the Pahalgam terror attack. Bharat will not bend to terror. The culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared”.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reacted to the mass exodus of tourists from the valley. “It’s heartbreaking to see the exodus of our guests from the valley after yesterday’s traffic terror attack in Pahalgam, but at the same time, we understand why people would want to leave. While DGCA and the Ministry of Civil Aviation are working to organise extra flights, NH 44 between Srinagar and Jammu has been reconnected for traffic in a single direction. The government also announced Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to bereaved family members and Rs 2 lakh to seriously injured persons.
