87 Women Selected for Employment at Foxconn
First Batch of 55 Women Leaves for Hyderabad
RAMAGUNDAM, OCTOBER 11, 2026: The People’s Government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities to unemployed youth from Singareni-affected areas through skill training is yielding positive results. Recently, interviews were conducted for 154 candidates through the Singareni GVTC Skill Development Centre in Ramagundam–1 Area.
Of the 127 women candidates who attended the interviews, 87 were selected for employment at Foxconn in Hyderabad. Similarly, 27 male candidates attended interviews for Solar Technician positions, of whom 25 were selected for employment as Solar Technicians. The first batch of 55 women selected for Foxconn left Godavarikhani for Hyderabad on Sunday.
From Skill Training to Employment
Launched two years ago by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy, Sri Bhatti Vikramarka, the centre has been providing skill training and employment opportunities to local youth. Over the past two years, it has facilitated employment opportunities for more than 500 candidates. The centre is taking steps to provide training in courses that are in demand in the job market and link skill development with suitable employment opportunities.

Opportunities for Women in the Manufacturing Sector
Last week, Foxconn conducted special recruitment interviews for women candidates at the GVTC Skill Development Centre. A total of 87 women were selected to work in the assembly sections for Apple EarPods and electronic components at the company’s manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. These opportunities in the industrial sector are expected to help local women achieve greater financial independence.
RG–1 Area General Manager Sri D. Lalith Kumar stated that 25 candidates who had undergone training in the Solar Technician course were selected for employment. He further informed that they would join L&T Company within ten days.
Building a Better Future through Skills
General Manager Sri D. Lalith Kumar stated that Singareni is committed to equipping youth from Singareni-affected areas with the skills required to secure employment. He said that linking training with job opportunities enables young people to build a better future for themselves. He advised the selected candidates to make the best use of the opportunities offered to them, maintain discipline at work and strive for professional growth.
